Privacy notice
This notice explains how Clique handles personal data through this website. It describes only processing that actually takes place today. It will be updated before any new processing begins.
Who is responsible
The controller for this website is Annick & Son Gold Network Limited (BRN C25220984), Hotel Street, 7th Floor NexSky Building, Ebene Cybercity, 72201 Mauritius. Telephone +230 403 4460. Email contact@clique.africa.
Clique is a technology and service-access platform. Regulated services are provided by the relevant authorised partners under their own terms, and those partners act as controllers for the data they collect directly.
What data we process
This website does not require an account. It provides contact, partner-interest and launch-list forms, together with direct telephone, email and WhatsApp contact routes. The processing that takes place is limited to:
- Contact and investor enquiries: your name, email address or telephone number, selected topic and the content of your message.
- Partner-interest submissions: organisation name, service category, contact name, email address or telephone number and the information you choose to provide about the proposed offer.
- Launch-list registrations: your email address or mobile number, preferred language and whether you are interested in Clique Access or Clique Gold.
- Recruitment enquiries sent to talent@clique.africa: the information contained in your email, curriculum vitae or expression of interest.
- Information you choose to send us when you contact us by telephone, email or WhatsApp, including your contact details and the content of your message.
- Technical data processed by our hosting provider to deliver pages and keep the service secure, including the IP address your browser presents and the request your browser makes.
- Your privacy and language choices, stored in your own browser as described in the cookie policy.
We do not collect medical records, card or bank-account details, identity or KYC documents, passwords, or detailed bereavement case information through this website.
Why we process it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry, investor request or membership-interest submission: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To assess a proposed partner offer and contact the submitting organisation: our legitimate interest in developing and managing a responsible partner ecosystem. A submission does not guarantee approval, publication or access to members.
- To send requested launch updates: your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
- To review recruitment enquiries and communicate with potential candidates: our legitimate interest in recruitment and steps taken at the candidate's request.
- To operate, secure and maintain the website: our legitimate interest in running a reliable and secure service.
- To remember your privacy and language choices: necessary storage for a service you have asked for and, for optional categories, your consent.
Who receives your data
Access is limited to Clique personnel who need it to answer your enquiry, assess a partner submission, administer the launch list or review a recruitment enquiry. Our website-hosting, form-processing, email and messaging providers process data only to provide those services. Where you contact us through WhatsApp, the conversation is carried on WhatsApp's own infrastructure under its terms and privacy policy.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising purposes. No analytics or advertising tool is installed on this website.
International transfers
This website is operated from Mauritius, and the providers that host it and carry our messaging may process data outside Mauritius. Where that happens we rely on the provider's contractual commitments. A full transfer register, including the specific safeguards for each provider, is being completed and this section will be updated with those details rather than described here in advance.
How long we keep it
We keep contact, investor and partner correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the request and any reasonable follow-up, then according to our approved legal and record-keeping schedule. Launch-list details are kept until you unsubscribe, the list is closed or they are no longer needed for the stated launch purpose. Recruitment information is kept according to the approved recruitment-retention schedule. The final retention register must be approved before the forms go live and this notice must be updated if the approved periods differ from this description.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius you may request access to your personal data, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, and request a copy in a portable form where that right applies. You can also withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@clique.africa or +230 403 4460. See our data protection rights page for how to make a request and what to expect.
Withdrawing consent
Where processing depends on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change cookie choices. To leave the launch list, use the unsubscribe route provided in an update or contact contact@clique.africa.
Automated decision-making
This website does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius. Our complaints procedure explains our internal process.
Scope
This notice covers this website. A separate notice will be published for the Clique mobile application before it is released, together with the disclosures required by the Apple App Store and Google Play.
